We moved to Henry County in the fall of 2002 when Brian got a job working for an apartment complex in McDonough and have lived here since. We didn’t know anyone or the area but felt like we were accepted quickly by the community. Everyone we met was very friendly whether it was a business or our neighbors. It didn’t take long to find our way around and learn all the great places. Our favorite restaurants are the local ones such as Kirby G’s and Pasta Max. The events that the community puts on such as festivals and the National Night Out, are a lot of fun and it is really cool to see all the businesses come together. It really shows you what type of community you live in. After the church plant we were apart of closed, we searched and were lucky enough to find our home at Relevant Church. We now serve every Sunday and help with Pulse, the youth group. We now feel even more apart of the community because we are able to give back. Our son who is in Fifth Grade has been going to a Henry County public school since Kindergarten and we have been nothing but pleased with the experience that we have had. We really feel like this is the place we want to see our son grow up and us grow old in.
